NBK Philosophy

We believe that a player should not be held back by others, they should be free to progress as their skills, equipment, and abilities permit them to. The other members in their team who aren’t able to keep the same pace with them should not hold them back but at the same time the people who are ready to move on should not have a reason to feel bad about doing so. They shouldn’t feel as if they are leaving everyone else behind.  A member of a society should be just that... a member. The society should not revolve around any one member, the society it self should be bigger then anyone person, this way the society's future is not dependant upon the success or failure of that one person.

Our Experience
In the Natural Born Killers we collectivly have more experience with building societies then any other participants in the Entropia Universe. We have experienced every problem that a society can face and have overcome them all. We have identified the fundamental problems that paralyze the societies in the Entropia Universe and have now provided solutions to them. As each day passes we find new ways to do things better, the common good of the group as a whole is the priority.

In The Past

Quickly after someone enters the game for the first time they are recruited into a society that helps newer players. Once that person has decent skills, equipment, and abilities they typically move on to a higher skilled society so they can interact with other players who are on their level, some will hang back and help lead the society that they are in. While leading a “noob” society can be fun and challenging it quickly grows old, repetitive, tedious, and expensive. I have never seen a leader of a society that helps new players stay in the game for long, if they do stay then they inevitably move on to a “mid-level” society so they can focus on having fun and interacting with other players on their level. As it turns out… the “noob” societies are simply a training camp for the “mid-level” societies, or they are a grave for the ones who were trying to lead it.

Once a player enters a mid-level society the same pattern happens again. They increase their skills and abilities and then move on to a higher skilled society, or they will stay and help run the society. Some people are more then happy to stay back and help run the society, but after they become tired of running that society they either quit the game or they move on to the next level… it is inevitable. So, as it turns out, the mid-level societies are simply training camps for the upper-level societies just as the entry-level societies were training camps for the mid-level societies.

Imagine being the leader of a society and continuously having your best skilled members and closest friends leave to go on to other societies. It’s disheartening for the leader and it’s demoralizing for the rest of the team, plus it causes the society to be perpetually stuck in an unchanging skill level. Less skilled players come in, and higher skilled players go out… its just how it works.

People want to interact with others who are on the same level or higher then they are. There is nothing wrong with that, it just how human nature is… Imagine spending thousands of dollars on your avatar and equipment so you can do the “bigger and better” things in the game. Would you want to stay with a group of people who were unable to do the same things as you? Would you want to stay with a group of people who were unable to go the same places as you? Inevitably the answer is “no”. After all, if your teammates cant do what you are doing or go where you are going then you are truly going there to do it alone because all they can do is watch and cheer for you from the sidelines.

Like every society out there we tried to fight this pattern, we tried to retain our members but you can’t fight human nature and you can’t fight what is inevitable. As it stands today, if the highest skilled members who left the Natural Born Killers would all go into a society together that society would easily be in the top-20 list of most skilled societies.

For a society to progress at a faster pace then the other societies in the game something has to change, something has to be done differently. But what can you do? You cant stop people from wanting to go to the next step, but even if you could, is it right to do so?

The Solution

Instead of fighting what is inevitable just like every other society does we embrace it and use it to our advantage and by doing that we have turned our greatest weakness into our greatest strength.

From the moment a new player enters the game they are recruited into one of our base level societies and from there, the path to move up in that society and beyond it is clear. Once they reach the minimum skill requirement of our mid-level society they graduate to that society. From there, when they reach the requirements of our upper-level society they are able to graduate again. This ensures that players are continuously on the same level as the others around them.

The NBK Group is in a better position to capitalize on the continuous influx of new participants then any other group. Because of the simple model described above we will continue to increase in strength and numbers as time goes by.

What if your society didn’t have to be focused around its leader? What if the society itself could be the focal point? What if the leader of that society was simply a leader who was there only as long as they wanted to be there? Would if there was a way for that leader to move up as well?

NBK Legion  = Base-level society
NBK Elite Guard - Mid-Level society
Natural Born Killers = Upper-level society that is ranked among the most skilled societies in the game

We have a place for all members who are on any skill level and because of this we are no longer a training camp for any other society!
